The Service Personnel and Veterans’ Agency, formed in April 2007, created a single organisation for serving personnel and veterans to contact to access information and advice on their pay, pensions, compensation claims, records of service and medal entitlement.

Forces Discounts
The only forces discount scheme endorsed by the MoD is available online or as a hard copy catalogue and every veteran and serving member of the military, and their immediate families are entitled to the discounts. There is no charge to register, and offers are available on around 800 products.

SSAFA
The Soldiers, Sailors, Airmen and Families Association Forces Help provides support for the serving men and women in today’s Armed Forces and for those who have served - even if it was only for a single day. They also care for the
needs of their families and dependants. Last year alone, professional staff and trained volunteers gave assistance to more than 50,000 people, helping make a real difference to many lives.

BLESMA
The Association works to assist Service Men and Women who have lost a limb or limbs, or one or both eyes, or the use of limbs as a result of service in any branch of the Armed Forces and to provide help and support to their dependants.

The organization can also offer help to service personnel who have lost limbs after leaving the service.
